Download frontpoint app for laptop

I too am concerned with the color reassignment. Red for armed make so much more sense. Having the same color for different settings is definitely NOT a good design move!

I have always been satisfied with Frontpoint but with new lower cost do-it-yourself security companies now in the market I would like Frontpoint to offer a longevity or loyalty discount. This would benefit customers and help your retention of clients. John M. I couldn't agree more!

Did I say, "No contracts? Rafael cruz. Doesn't make sense to change them - and will probably cause alot of false alarms.

Since ppl sometimes arm 'away' with motions enabled downstairs when going to bed upstairs - and might glance at the app and think its disarmed when it isn't. Gray is fine for disarmed, tho. Use extrem caution if considering this company. They misrepresent thru the "deal" you sign up for. For me one year was contacted as three. Dan, we're very surprised to read your comment as we certainly try to be as honest and transparent as possible with all of our customers. We have our Sales team looking into your original interactions right now, and when they figure out where there might have been some miscommunication we're going to have one of our Support Supervisors give you a call.

They are going to speak with you learn more about your concerns and find a way to get you all taken care of. Keep an eye out for our phone call soon! I also agree with the other commentors, 'Red for Armed and Green for unarmed'.

Can anyone tell me what the practical, consumer based value is of using the Front Point app verses the Alarm. Green mean GO! New colors are against everything taught from childhood even! I called Frontpoint when the new "green" signs and website color was changed to green. It's ridiculous to have green signs for a security system. It's like saying, "Hey, burglar, you've got the green light to GO on in and pillage! I've requested stouter, all metal, yard signs for years. The flimsy signs and posts provided from Frontpoint make the whole system seem cheap and flimsy as well.

A first impression is important! Provide us with more durable, substantial, and noticeable yard signs! I, along with many others, prefer the previous color scheme to the Frontpoint app. The previous ascribed colors makes more sense than the "updated" version of the app.

I like the Red, Amber and Green lock scheme. I do not want to see the color scheme change and agree it will cause more confusion. Change the surrounding colors all you want but I believe these basic Armed, Unarmed and Stay colors should remain.

I've been using the alarm. It has geofencing and uses touch ID and password. Very happy with it, your Frontpoint app color scheme doesn't make sense to me at all. Yah, the new color scheme seems odd Come on people - are we that stupid?

Is there any actual new functionality in the new app? Hi TW, the functionality is the same with this update, but I'll pass your recommendation on to our Product Team for future updates. Is it possible to log in to mulitiple systems? For example, I use Frontpoint at home and at the office. It sure is! You can set this up in your MyFrontpoint.

Once you login, navigate to "Profile" and select "Multi-System Access" in the secondary navigation. From there, you simply log in to your other account and in the app the top bar that says "Heather's System" will be a dropdown menu. Let me know if you have any issues. Chris J. You guys need to produce a windows phone app for us windows phone users or you risk alienting windows phone users. Microsoft is releasing their flagship and XL if they haven't already.

Hi Chris, you can still use the Alarm. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Why would you want to miss out on that? I too join the masses who argue the color changes are detrimental. This was a simple and effective system that did not need to be change.

The current system is much more confusing. Not sure who in Development is making the call on these decisions but you should do more beta testing with a sample audience before introducing a massive change implementation As simple as the colors are they're essential to what customers associate with the various system statuses. Not a wise decision in my opinion. Please change back asap. The alarm. Blackberry users is now a very small group. They'll probably go out of business soon when they realised nobody is buying their new over expensive phones.

Astrid olsson. Keep red color for armed. Very confusing to see green as armed. House halo and door images confusing except for armed stay person inside. Are people really confused with a red closed lock ie armed and green open lock unarmed? I find that hard to believe. That is such a quick visual cue.

I find the house halo green shaded gray open door scenario an unnecessary learning curve. Please test images, don't change just to change. I think I'll continue using the Alarm. Even though I was pretty excited when I found out that Frontpoint resigned its App, it turned me down when I saw the color changes amd I cannot agree with their statement and justifications of why those changes were made. Also, it will be nice if you guys can add in the near future the option to Arm Away with No Entrance Delay, since we can do it already from the alarm panel but sentiments we're out of town and we need to let someone in but we need to Arm Away with No delay again.

Thank you. Dody Mancuso. Your current application on your Alarm. I'm surprise you are changing it. I can set the alarm without glasses and I never have to worry about making a mistake. Still love you guys! Can I continue using the Alarm. Would that cause any issues? Why would you change the color of "Armed" from Red to Green? Doesn't make any sense. You're basically completely switching the old color scheme which is even more confusing.

Wait, WHAT? Why on earth would you change a perfectly good color scheme to one with extra icons. You just made things more complex!?! Whoever complained about the current color scheme being confusing must really be intellectually challenged. I will resist upgrading to your "new" app as long as I possibly can. This sucks!!!!! Val Kaplan. Why did you change the color scheme of arm - disarm symbol?

It is more confusing now. Armed symbol should be red! It is only logical, guys! When are you going to include the bypass feature into the app?? Thats what I'm waiting for. That comes in handy when I have visitors over and staying at the house. The new color coding doesn't make sense. Armed should stay at red to alert you that system is on and you will need to disarm if you don't want to trip it. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Peter Schmidt. I agree with other comments change the color scheme back to green disarmed, orange armed stay and red armed away.

Not a smart move to change those to all green. The fact that you have to explain what the icons do means that the icons are not doing its job in the first place. I agree with everyone else, not a good move. All green icons? Who is going to think, hum is there a man in the house or not? I'm all for going back to the colors that made sense and were easy to detect quickly!

How about something that we can use like managing users from the app? I use the alarm. The colors make sense to me I like the red and green. Like everyone is saying, the updates you've made are a big step backwards And, as someone pointed out, if you have to explain colors and icons, you're clearly not doing the right thing WHY did you change colors? Put it back the way it was…. The fact that you're using words to describe the icons tells me you know the icons will now be confusing.

Couldn't be any more disappointed with what you guys did to the app. Not only does it look unpolished and clumsy, but the color system you described is terrible. The older app is much more sensible and easy to use. Reinhard Schikora.

Who came up with this stupid idea to change the Color??? It doesn't makes any sense to me. Sorry, but you go a step backward instead forward. Bob K. There was nothing wrong with the old colors or insignias. Go back to the old or give your customers a choice which one they would like to have. If it aint broke don't fix it. I really get tired of changing stuff all the time.

Frontpoint, you did not make friends over this one. By changing the color it became more confusing. Green on the app mean "Armed" yet green on the panel means "disarmed" not good. Go back to the colors that match the panel. You want to improve the app, add the feature that tells you if an area has been bypassed. Better yet, make the option available to bypass an arena from the app, it can only be done from the panel.

If FrontPoint truly wants to hear the Voice of the customer, ask us what features we want or want to change. Jeff Brown. I agree with everyone else, leave the colors as they were. Also, I would like to see the yard signs go back to red as it would get more attention.

Why change something that works great. The new colors do NOT make sense. Please change them back to the original.

I want to get in line for a Windows app too. It's a fast growing minority; so please don't ignore us. But, they'll answer a question about the Apple watch Do they care? Lisa trimbach. So far my system sucks! Installed personally with no assistance. Still not up an running and can't get a return phone call. Screen has been plugged in for over 2 weeks and still says battery low? And I'm ready to return it and go with another company.

Sampath SSaravana. As many of us pointed out here the new colors does not make sense at all When disarmed, the Halo Home icon is green with an open door When armed stay, the Halo Home icon is orange with the image of a person inside When armed away, the Halo Home icon is red with a closed door.

Anne O'Niell. Laura Northcutt. With the overwhelming negative responses to the color changes, surely Frontpoint realizes the absurdity of this new decision. There is far too much competition in the security market for Frontpoint to stand by such a poor choice.

I, too, will continue to use the alarm. Stop this lunacy! Steve Burman. I am one of them. Why doesn't anyone make a provision for this condition? And everybody will be happy. Rich K. And the prices to add optional equipment is ridiculous You got me for 2 years spend it wisely. Ron C. New colors don't make any sense. RED should be armed, period.

Orange, armed stay, and green unarmed. Makes a whole lot more sense than the new color scheme. New colors do not make any sense and are extremely confusing. I see no benefit in them and the new app as a whole to be honest with you, but the colors should be returned to the original ones that make sense. Right now both greens mean armed in different modes and none armed state is gray??

I already almost made a mistake twice walking in thinking it was disarmed because it was green and I know my wife will have issues as well.

Jeanie Petrie. Mollie Belcher. Just downloaded the Frontpoint app but it does everything the Alarm. The old colors were never confusing to me so its surprising that you said that customers said they were overwhelming sometimes and confusing I do not see how the 3d touch features work in the app, I went to settings to configure them on the new app but its kind of confusing. I must say that im pretty much with everyone else in that I dont care for the gray really.

One other thing id like to add is that we have been a customer for like two years and we would love a slimmer more modern digital control panel instead of the huge thick one we have but don't think we should have to pay a huge amount to get one thats crazy!

Overall we love you guys though. Works great. Color change is fine. Frontpoint is a great company with great support and service. I understand the move to an "in house" app. Makes sense to me The new app is a step in the wrong direction. The new color scheme is confusing and unhelpful compared to the old app. The print is hard to read unless lighting is perfect. Change it back!!!! We are excited and proud of the new design" i guess it means we listen to what you say and we don't care.

Patricia Sullivan. I like the old colors too. I could read these without having to pull out my reading glasses. Please bring back the old colors. At night the new signs are very difficult to identify on a mobile phone. The red and green colors were much more easy to see. Please go back to the old color code. Bring back the common sense color scheme.

Why can't you detect when a burglar is using a Jammer to block the cell phone signal to the tower. This feature should be added. Not impressed I had a one year leased house. Kristy Jackart. Unless I've totally missed it an amazing option for the app that I'm sure millions would love especially myself is a feature to select times to set for your system to automatically arm and disarm it's self.

Also to automatically lock, unlock doors, turn lights on or off etc. All the fuzz for a change in colors. Nothing more important than that for the majority of customers that clearly must be colorblind. I just updated my phone app and the new color scheme is confusing and I now have to put on reading glasses to read the labeling where I did not before.

Ugh, not good! I like the old color scheme much better, which was very easy to understand. Change it back!! New icons are NOT an improvement in any sense of the word. Former icons much better. TWO greens with a tiny white figure ridiculous. Figure is barely visible, poor design, poor color choice. Reinstate former color intuitive icons NOW!

Obviously not a happy customer. I cannot rave enough about my experience with FrontPoint. They were the last on my list to get a quote from should have been my first and Zee, the sales rep who called me, was so helpful. He was understanding and empathetic of my situation and took his time to go through the layout of my home and provide recommendations that were perfect for me.

It was significantly less up front than other competitors, hassle free, quick, and painless. Now I feel much safer knowing that my home and the people in it are protected! And I love that I can watch the video cams from my phone. Highly recommended!!!! Been with Frontpoint for some six years since moving into a new home. Everything was good until this past week when I needed technical assistance on a simple matter replacing a door sensor.

No where does the app technical section provide guidance on how to cancel the old sensor and activate the new replacement sensor. But that phone number leads to a recording that asks you to leave a call back number since wait times are excessively long. I tried weekend and weekdays, early and late in the day. Same message.

And a call back is not very convenient for the customer. Am I to sit by my phone and near the Frontpoint system waiting for the phone to ring? Ideally I would need to be free to take their call and near the system to take any actions needed to activate the system. Not happy with this sudden turn of events.

This is mostly a solid app. Plus notifies you if you go outside of a certain geographic area or if one of the sensors was left open for too long. So we bought the touch pad which we were told had a db siren in it. Can barely hear the siren over normal conversation from the touch pad.
