It's a shame was not published in English. I don't have a free slot to run a test, sorry. Site is likely to redirect, but I have a Japanese account I can use to view it. At least, its free as of March 28 according to the storefront. Maybe it was free for preorders and they gave it to everyone later. I'd be ok if SquareEnix did the same thing for the preorder stuff we got, too, or at least offer it in the e-store for a reasonably low price. They've got things like the Dragon Quest Logo, Medicinal Herb Ornament, and Chimaera Wing as free add-on now these were preorders for us , so it seems this may be the long term plan and in a few months they might unlock extras like this.
I also noticed they are listed in the Recipes tab on the DQB2 Checklists document we always reference, yet the other Japanese-only stuff like the Chalkboard and Periodic Table blocks aren't. I'm not quite sure why the sigil blocks and not the others, unless they are indeed available to English-speaking world.
So, noticing these things weren't just available in the e-store, but free as well, has got me thinking there might be a trick to making it work. I was able to "buy" them from the webpage storefront so they should be ready for download. I need set up my Japanese account again on my PS4, as I'd done back in February or so to play the Japanese-language demo, and then after it downloads the add-on packs see if it applies them to my English version.
I strongly suspect it won't work but its worth a shot, even if the item names come out with asterisks in them instead of kanji and kana.
If it does I can answer these questions myself. And I'll share the means of how to do it for others. Duke Darkwood posted Thanks for info you've given. Its a start. I wonder if creating a second user account gives 3 more save slots or all users share the same saves on the same hardware. I should be able to see this myself when I do my Japanese account test.
They really need to operate as different saves to segregate Achievement Trophies though. I preordered the physical PS4 version at GameStop. Not sure if the digital version had the Stackable Slime or not. That was a code inside the physical version of the game. User Info: CO Mel. The only way to get Stackable Slime for Switch digitally was to pre-order the bundle that had the game and the season pass.
If you purchased them separately, then you're outta luck like me. Gatcha life gatcha waifu. I don't think this worked. But when I start game, its in English, and starting new game gave me all the notices about DLC being loaded, including season pass, knickknack pack, the lo-res characters, and line art which I've all purchased.
I did not get notification about the Sigil Block Recipes I'd bought with my Japanese account, which must only work for Japanese version of software. Maybe they a magically show up as the story progresses, but I got no indication of sigil blocks on new game start, and they aren't at Builder's Workbenches on IOA after the shipwreck. On the bright side, I confirmed different users on same hardware get their own set of save slots, their own builder-id, and for PS4, their own achievement trophies as well, but buying DLC for one user applies to all at least for PS4 - I assume same for Switch.
Unique builder-id is especially important - you can make a whole new island to be uploaded without losing your current one. Just to be safe, consider building many of them before your trial expires in case access to build more is revoked. User Info: lilisaur.
